Dimension is the first shared solar provider to come online in Virginia
100% of Dimension’s Virginia shared solar customers qualify as low income
Dimension's total Virginia portfolio will power close to 10,000 households
Dimension Energy has been engaged with Virginia policymakers and local leaders since 2020 when the Virginia Clean Economy Act was first developed. Dimension has been instrumental in shaping the commonwealth’s shared solar program to ensure all Virginians have an accessible, affordable, and equitable clean energy option.
As a result of Dimension’s policy work, coupled with a thorough community engagement strategy and strong landowner relationships, Dimension’s projects were the first shared solar projects to come online in the commonwealth beginning in February 2024. Dimension’s total portfolio in Virginia will power close to 10,000 households with clean solar energy while creating hundreds of good jobs across the state. 100% of Dimension’s Virginia solar credits are delivered to low-income households. Dimension and Community Housing Partners (CHP) have partnered to offer all CHP residents an exclusive shared solar subscription with guaranteed savings. The partnership additionally provides funding to advance CHP’s mission to ensure safe and affordable housing for all Virginians.
